Pulsar · Cloud file analysis

Know what a file will do before you open it.

Pulsar is our cloud analysis, scanning and detonation system. It takes apart, runs and inspects the documents and scripts your business receives every day, and turns them into one clear verdict.

Why documents

Documents are where attacks hide.

That is why Pulsar was built around them from day one — and why it scans every other file type too.

  1. Business runs on documents

Contracts, invoices, résumés, reports: most of the data a company exchanges travels as documents.

  2. The favourite disguise

Documents are one of the main carriers of malware, spam and phishing today.

  3. A blind spot for antivirus

Most antivirus engines are weak at detecting malicious documents — our test below shows by how much.

  4. Too many false alarms

Some engines flag harmless files as threats, blocking work and eroding trust in every alert.

How it works

Three layers of analysis. One verdict.

Every file goes through our own analysis layers, and a multi-engine scan cross-checks the result, so no single miss decides the verdict.

  1. Static analysis

We dissect the file's structure and hunt for malicious code and suspicious patterns before anything runs.

  2. Dynamic analysis

The file is detonated in our own controlled sandbox and every action is monitored. This is where even unknown exploits give themselves away.

  3. Visual analysis

Two systems — one of them AI-powered — look at the document the way a person would, to spot phishing and spam.

  4. One clear verdict

The findings of every layer and engine come together in a single verdict, shown live while the analysis runs.

Detection test

Where popular antivirus misses, Pulsar catches.

We ran 5,000 publicly available PDF malware samples through Pulsar and three widely used antivirus engines.

What you can do with it

From one suspicious attachment to every file your company receives.

Check before you open

Drop a suspicious attachment or download into your browser and get a verdict. Nothing to install, no account needed.

Automate with the API

Connect the REST API to your mail flow, upload forms or CI pipelines, and follow each verdict live over WebSocket. A command-line tool is on the way.

Grow at your own pace

Start free and move up to 1,000 or 10,000 files a month as you grow. For larger volumes, ask us about a dedicated or on-premise deployment.

Escalate to an analyst

When a file needs a human eye, our senior analysts reverse-engineer it by hand, under NDA.
