General

What does Quasar Infinity do?

We are a malware-analysis company. We build Pulsar, a cloud service that analyzes files — documents above all — and returns a clear verdict, and our senior analysts carry out custom analyses of files that need a human eye.

Where are you based?

Our headquarters are in Ushiku (Ibaraki, Japan); the company, Quasar Infinity LLC (合同会社), was incorporated in March 2026. In Europe we are present in Bilbao (Spain) and Daisendorf (Germany). See our offices

How can I contact you?

Write to hello@quasar8.com or use the contact form. For security reports or confidential information, encrypt your message with our PGP key.

Pulsar

What is Pulsar, and how is it different from an antivirus?

Pulsar is our cloud system for analyzing, scanning and detonating files. A traditional antivirus mainly looks for known signatures; Pulsar also dissects the file’s structure, runs it in a controlled sandbox to watch what it does and inspects how it looks to spot phishing — then cross-checks everything with a multi-engine scan. How Pulsar works

Can I try it for free? Do I need an account?

Yes. Without an account you can analyze 1 file a day; with a free account, 10 a day, plus your own API key. There is nothing to install: a browser is enough.

Which files can I analyze, and how large can they be?

Any file type. Documents are our specialty: PDF, VBScript, PowerShell and image formats are also detonated in our sandbox, and Office documents, web scripts and executables are coming. The maximum size is 64 MB per file; if you need to analyze larger files, talk to us.

How long does an analysis take?

Usually about 3 seconds. Depending on the file, it can take from 1 to around 30 seconds. Results appear live, and the verdict is shown as soon as it is reliable, without waiting for every engine to finish.

What do the verdicts mean?

CLEAN: no threat was found. SUSPICIOUS: the file shows signs of risk, but the evidence is not conclusive — handle it with care. MALWARE: the file is malicious; do not open it. If you need certainty about a suspicious file, our analysts can examine it by hand.

Is there an API to automate analysis?

Yes. Every registered account gets an API key to submit files and fetch results over a REST API, and you can follow verdicts live over WebSocket. See the API documentation. A command-line tool is on the way.

Can Pulsar run on our own servers?

For high volumes we offer dedicated or on-premise deployments, with data retention and service levels tailored to you. Tell us what you need.

Privacy & security

Do you keep the files I upload?

No. Files are deleted right after the analysis, along with any preview images generated from them. The only exception is files found to be suspicious or malicious, which may be kept for up to 24 hours and are then deleted. We do keep a record of each analysis — file name, SHA-256 fingerprint and verdict — so you can look up the result later. These records are deleted every month.

Do you share my files with antivirus vendors or other third parties?

No. All engines run on our own infrastructure and do not send samples to their vendors’ clouds. We do not sell or share your data.

Where are my files analyzed?

Today every analysis runs in our data centre in Bilbao (Spain, European Union), for customers in Europe, the United States and Japan alike. We are preparing a data centre in Japan to serve Asia.

Can I upload confidential documents?

Uploads are encrypted in transit and files are deleted after the analysis. Even so, only upload files you are authorized to share. For highly sensitive material, our custom analysis under NDA or an on-premise deployment may be a better fit.

Plans & payments

How much does Pulsar cost?

There is free use (1 file a day without an account, 10 with one) and two monthly plans: Basic, with 1,000 files a month, and Advanced, with 10,000 files a month and priority in the analysis queue. For larger volumes there is a custom plan. See current prices in your currency on the pricing page.

How can I pay?

Pulsar plans are paid by credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express and others), Apple Pay or Google Pay, through our payment provider Stripe. Your card details are held by Stripe; we never store them.

Can my company pay by invoice or bank transfer?

Pulsar’s monthly plans are paid by card as standard. If your company needs to pay by invoice, contact us and we will look at your case. Custom file analysis can be paid by bank transfer against an invoice.

Do I get a receipt?

Yes. You can download the details and the receipt of every payment from your customer area. For customers in Japan: we are not registered under the qualified invoice system (インボイス制度), so we do not issue qualified invoices.

Can I change plan or cancel at any time? Are there refunds?

Yes. You can change or cancel your plan yourself at any time from your customer area; upgrades take effect immediately. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period already paid. Because of the nature of the service, payments are not refunded once the service has started, and there are no pro-rata refunds, unless you could not use the service through our fault. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer law.

Custom file analysis

Pulsar or custom analysis: which one do I need?

Pulsar gives you an automatic verdict in seconds and scales to thousands of files. Custom analysis is for when you need a person: a targeted attack, a business-critical file, or a report that explains what the file does and how to respond.

What does a custom analysis include, and how much does it cost?

Our senior analysts reverse-engineer the file by hand and deliver a report with a clear verdict, the root cause explained and recommended actions. It costs ¥8,000 per file; the delivery date is agreed with you when we receive the file. You pay after receiving the report, by bank transfer or card.

How do I send you a confidential file?

We work under NDA whenever you need it. Write to us first at hello@quasar8.com; for sensitive material, encrypt your message and files with our PGP key and we will agree the safest way to transfer them.
